P-CoC INC COMMITTEES

P-CoC committees are ad-hoc committees. The Governing board determines the continuity of a committee and the establishment of a new committee based on the organization's needs.

Committee Expectations:

Provide recommendations to curricular that provide a broader representation of persons of color in the schools and communities. Conduct workshops on topics related to the narratives presented by persons of color on their histories and cultures. Develop programs that will help unlearn norms that perpetuate subconscious discrimination and self-hate. Supplement academic instruction via tutoring and workshops.

Committee Expectations:

Acquaint and share information on the regulations and policies that are in place or are being implemented to support the community. Assist residents in presenting community and school-based issues to the authorizing body of the community and schools. Advocate for guidelines to enforce fair treatment and actions. Facilitate workshops and training that provide collegial efforts among citizens of the community. The committee will advocate for guidelines to enforce fair treatment and actions, instead of the reliance on passive "goodwill".

Committee Expectations:  

Organizes community events that showcase ethnic and cultural diversity. Launch programs that provide awareness on issues surrounding persons of color. Provide awareness on issues that will shed light to help unlearn norms that perpetuate subconscious hate. Conduct workshops on “care” surrounding persons of color.

Committee Expectations:

Seeks financial support to run the organization. Conducts the selling of P-CoC branded merchandise and proceeds solicitation from other affiliates to help support the work of P-CoC. Locate and identify scholarships and provide stipends to support families and individuals in need. Determines the budget and monetary allocation to the individual work of the organization.

•    IMPACT EVALUATION COMMITTEE

Committee Expectations: 

The Impact Evaluation committee will evaluate the programs and events of P-CoC Inc to provide an evidence-based assessment of the organization's productivity. The committee will utilize both qualitative and quantitative assessment methods.

Committee Expectations: 

The Public Relations Team supports the work of all the other committees to promote and moderate committee work as needed. The committee will, in addition, serve as an in-house resource to train recruiters and connect individuals needing services from P-CoC to appropriate providers.

Student Ambassadors-The Trailblazers, are servant leaders who actively serve and lead by example. P-CoC Inc supports Student Ambassadors in their individual and collective effort engagements surrounding race and color equity endeavors in schools and communities.
